Electronics enclosure generator
Give the inside size, the wall thickness and the cutouts. The generator builds a project box with standoffs for your board, and the lid as a second prompt.
Builds in your browser. The CAD engine downloads once (about 60 MB), then every part is local.
What to put in the prompt
- Give the inside size, not the outside, so the board fits. Add 1 to 2mm of clearance per side.
- Give the wall thickness. 2mm is a good default for a printed box; 1.6mm for small ones.
- Give the standoff pattern: four M3 standoffs on a 75mm x 45mm pattern, 5mm tall.
- Describe each cutout with a size and a side: a 12mm x 8mm USB-C cutout on one short side.
- Ask for the lid as a separate prompt and name the fit: friction, snap-fit, or screwed.

Frequently asked questions
Can it make a box for a specific board?
Yes. Name the board (Raspberry Pi 4, Arduino Uno, ESP32 dev board) or give the hole pattern in millimetres. Common boards have known patterns; for anything else, measure and type the numbers.
Does it make the lid too?
Each generation builds one solid, so the lid is a second prompt. Give it the same outside size and the lip or snap detail you want.
What wall thickness should I use?
2mm for most printed enclosures. Go to 2.5 or 3mm for boxes over 150mm, and never below 1.2mm. See the wall thickness guide.
Can I get STEP so I can edit it in Fusion or SolidWorks?
Yes. STEP export writes the exact B-rep from the kernel, so cutouts and standoffs come in as clean faces you can edit.
